How Will Card Payments be Made
The day before your payment is due you will receive an email and in-app notification advising of the impending payment.
Payments will automatically be pulled from your nominated card anytime before the cut off time (3:30pm AEDT) on the payment due date, unless you select an alternative payment option before your rent or invoice is due.
If there aren’t enough funds in that account, or you want to pay on-the-spot with a different card or account, you have the option to do this the day before your payment is due.
If no alternative option is selected by the due date, your saved card will be debited.
Payment Cut-Off Times
If you’re making a manual card payment, it must be made before 3:30pm (AEDT) on business days. In Queensland during daylight savings, this will be 2:30pm.
If payments are made on a weekend or after this time, they won’t be processed until the next business day.
Banks may process the payment at any time (eg. 6:00pm or 11:00pm) depending on their preference.
Real time processing
Card payments are processed in real time and will be approved or declined immediately.
Refunds
If you make a double payment, there’s no need to worry. We’ll automatically refund you back one of the payments and this transaction will display immediately on your ledger.
It generally takes between 3-5 business days for funds to clear back into your account. This is due to bank processing times.
If your rent is paid past the vacate date we will automatically refund the partial payment after the vacate date back to your account or card.
Dishonoured payments
If there are insufficient funds in your card account, the payment attempt will fail.
We will notify you if a payment fails, and will attempt to debit the amount again on your next rent due date.
